This journaling packet aims to gently guide you in the direction of noticing, witnessing, and challenging how anxiety seems to be showing up to protect you out of fear of resting and being bored.

You may have grown up in a culture of fear-based productivity- or as I like to call it: Anxiety.

When we feel like anxiety is the only way to keep ourselves safe, we will treat it like a LIFELINE instead of a tool to help keep us: focused, mindful, alert, etc. And while this lifeline sure kept you safe as a child who was likely punished for slowing down and resting, you do not need to do that anymore.

Let’s work together to begin converting this lifeline of yours to a tool you can CHOOSE to use, instead of feeling FORCED to use.
