Welcome to November, Love.

This month, we explore together how anxiety attempts to protect you from future harm; what do we do when our anxiety IS the coping skill?

So what is anxiety, really? Anxiety is a combination of TWO things:

  • What if this awful thing happens? PLUS

  • What if I won’t survive it if it does?

AND if these two warning signs in the past have meant ACTUAL danger (such as abandonment of needs and threats of harm), their warning in the present prompts you to emotionally respond to a cue of danger to be avoided at all costs.

So go slow and do your best to be with the parts of you who feel anxious this month. Anxiety is not the enemy, but it will keep you sick if you choose not to meet it with curiosity.
